Splitting expenses fairly without the monthly argument

Money is the most common flashpoint between co-parents. A clear system prevents 90% of the friction.
Decide the split once
Most co-parents land on 50/50, or a split based on income (e.g. 60/40). Whatever you choose, write it down and don't renegotiate every month.
Define what's "shared"
Shared usually includes: school fees, tuition, uniforms, doctor visits, medicines, agreed extracurriculars. Personal gifts, treats and impulse buys are not shared unless pre-approved.
Approve before you spend
For anything above an agreed threshold (say ₹2,000), get a quick yes before paying. This avoids "I never agreed to that" later.
Keep every receipt
Photograph receipts immediately. A receipt attached to an expense entry is worth a thousand arguments.
