Solo parenting: self-care isn't optional

Solo parenting is relentless. You can't pour from an empty cup — so refill yours, even in small ways.
Protect one hour a week
Just one. A walk, a coffee alone, a phone-free bath. Put it in the calendar like an appointment.
Build a small support circle
Two or three people you can call without explaining yourself. Family, a friend, a neighbour. Ask before you're desperate.
Sleep is a parenting skill
It's not lazy to go to bed at 10pm. A rested parent is a kinder, sharper parent.
Track everything in one place
Mental load is exhausting. Get expenses, schedules and notes out of your head and into an app. Your brain will thank you.
